Birthday Prep

Tantan's 7th birthday is in a month and we still haven't decided what to do. So yesterday, I went window shopping for birthday party packages.

My son wanted a Shakey's Birthday party. I asked my friend Gigi how much they spent on Mikee's birthday, and its around 15 to 18k. For me that's too much, being frugal and all hehehe.

My son's favorite cartoon character as of the moment is Ben10. So I first went to McDonald's cause I saw that they had a Ben10 theme. Their package was okay, reasonable prices. Their generic party theme costs P2000, but their Ben 10 theme costs P3000. Plus you have the buy the cake plus an additional charge for a Ben 10 cake.

Then off to Jollibee...hehehehe...obviously. It was almost the same as McDonald's. Their Justice League theme costs 1929 that's for the hat, invitations, prizes, mascot, and standard loot bags. Premium loot bags costs more. Then you have to pay for the cake too.

Right across Jollibee and McDonald's is Pizza Hut and there was a tarpaulin announcing "There's a New Kind of Party in Town." I was delighted that I went there. Their package was almost the same as the two but they had pizza of course. Plus the party fee of 2500 includes a cake. It was 2000 cheaper than the two. Wow! that is a great deal! But then I decided to tell Tantan before reserving. I presented all three packages to him ended my presentation with "Alam mo mas mura sa Pizza Hut" (its much cheaper in Pizza Hut). And he replied "Ikaw bahala nanay kung ano kasya sa pera mo (Its up to you mom, if your budget fits)

Because of that answer I decided to give him a Jollibee Birthday Party. I reserved today and to my delight, they have a promo. If you reserve now until Oct 31, 2009, you get one mascot free!!! I am so happy. So there's going to be two mascots on his party. Yipee!!!
